How the model works
One gear per hole, in a single gear plane. A gear and wheel at the same hole rotate together. Wheels occupy a separate plane: wheel–gear overlap is allowed.
Mesh is calculated from pitch diameters, with a ±0.01″ nominal centre-distance tolerance. Tooth shapes are schematic. Outside diameter for clearance is estimated as (teeth + 2) / 24 inches.
Torque multiplier assumes one output, no losses. If several wheels are driven, torque is shared; the full input torque is not available at each wheel at once.
Animation is slowed to 5% of nominal speed. Stall torque and maximum speed are different operating conditions. No bearings, motor-body clearance, chassis loading or traction are modelled.
